NHS Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is committed to providing Lambeth people with high quality GP services at flexible times and for urgent and non-urgent issues that can be dealt with by a GP or nurse.
Lambeth people have said they want GP services that are more accessible, more equitable, more fairly distributed and that use NHS resources wisely. Opening new GP Access Hubs in 2015 was an important step for the CCG to deliver what people need.
However, a review of GP services has shown not all of the appointments in the hubs are being taken up and they have the capacity to see patients who are currently using the NHS Walk in Centre. One of Lambeth’s GP Access Hubs is in the same building as the Walk in Centre in Gracefield Gardens, so the CCG is considering closing the Walk in Centre.
The CCG has been looking at four options and is continuing to gather views from patients and stakeholders to inform their decision.
You can find out more about the review on the CCG website.
