Take part in a FREE half day course and build on your caring expertise and personal resilience by developing your personalised care skills. The course, co-delivered by the Simulation and Interactive Learning Centre at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospitals and Performing Medicine, an award-winning programme created by theatre company, Clod Ensemble, will includes sessions on safe moving and handling, mouth care, nutrition, personal hygiene, skin care, self-care and managing medications, from which you can choose TWO to attend.
Course takes place at:
Sherman Education Centre, 4th Floor Southwark Wing, Guy’s Hospital, Great Maze Pond, London, SE1 9RT.
Sessions start at 10am or 1.15pm. Dates available: Thursday 15 June, Monday 3 July, Thursday 17 August.
Course is open to people who care unpaid for a friend or family member over the age of 18 who uses Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital services or live in boroughs of Southwark and Lambeth.
Refreshments will be provided and travel and carer cover reimbursed.
