In partnership with the University of Warwick, 7 Wonder (media production company) are making a new documentary series for BBC Four and want people with interesting objects and stories to tell us about their experience of the NHS. The People History of the NHS, is a crowd-sourced history, told through people’s treasured mementoes. Whether you are (or were) a member of staff, or a patient, get in touch with your story.

    Good Morning, I believe that I have a story relating to my contracting POLIO in 1951. I was paralysed from the neck down and spent time in an Iron Lung. It took me 6 months to recover and I HAVE many photos of my illness taken in hospital and also a copy of my Medical Records from that time. I am now 83 years old and was just 16 years old when Polio struck me.
