Keeping safe from financial abuse – FREE workshop

We are supporting Lambeth Safeguarding Adults workshop on how people can keep safe from financial abuse.

Wednesday, 6 December, 10am to 4pm, We are 336, 336 Brixton Road, SW9 7AA

This is a FREE workshop for anyone who wants to learn more about how we can work together to take action against financial abuse in Lambeth. The workshop is open to all.

Financial abuse is when a person(s):

  • Takes money from you without your permission
  • Puts pressure on you to give them money when you don’t want to
  • Spends your money without your consent
  • Takes control of your money without your permission

Financial abuse is one of the most prevalent types of abuse. It can affect anyone and is often carried out by someone in a position of trust, but could also be a stranger who befriends you.

What to expect at this event:

  • Advice and guidance on how to access support and where to get information
  • The chance to hear from experts and join the discussion
  • Resources to help you protect yourself and others from financial abuse
  • A better understanding of how you can work with Safeguarding Adults together to tackle financial abuse
