Lambeth Learning Disability Assembly

The Lambeth Learning Disability Assembly is a place for people with a learning disability and carers to come together to talk about things that are affecting them and what they want to see happen.

Lambeth Equalities Commission recommends that people with learning disabilities and their carers should have a say in decisions that affect them and to have an equal chance to make the most of their lives. We are committed to help make that happen.

The Assembly meets four times a year and holds Annual General Meetings. They will hold eight forum meetings to address the priorities identified at the December 2017 Forum planning event.  Members said that attending the Assembly and being part of the planning team helped people to ‘stay happy’. The planning team will monitor the impact of attendance to make sure that this benefit is sustained.
