    With the lockdown, many people experience reduced care and online sessions, and there is a restriction on company during visits and labour. This can cause worry and have an impact on pregnant people's mental health.

    Healthwatch Lambeth is doing a maternity project, engaging with women and birthing people from different backgrounds, communities and neighbourhoods, especially those from seldom heard groups and communities.

  15. Trust Mother's Words, Acknowledge Our Feelings: Exploring underrepresented experiences of maternity care

    Healthwatch Lambeth has today published "Trust Mother's Words," a report based on a research project funded by SEL Local Maternity and Neonatal services (LMNS) exploring the maternity care experiences of women from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, refugees, migrant and asylum-seekers, women living in areas of high deprivation and women with learning disabilities.

    This research explored the experience of mothers from Lambeth with mild to moderate mental health problems during the perinatal stage, before and after giving birth, and what support was available to them.

  18. Care at home that puts people more in control

    Over the past year, we have been working with Lambeth Council on a project looking into how home care can be improved. The aim was to use design approaches to find ways for home care to be more joined up with other services and to empower people.

  19. CliniQ: South London's first transgender sexual health service

    Advice and Information -

    King’s College Hospital, CliniQ’s Tuesday service is at the Caldecot Centre, 15-22 Caldecot Road, London, SE5 9RS. It is open every Tuesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

  20. Sunflower lanyards – supporting people with hidden disabilities

    Advice and Information -

    Guy’s and St Thomas’s have launched a sunflower lanyard for their patients and staff. The sunflower lanyards are for people who have a disability that you might not be able to see, and for people who might need extra help.

  21. King’s College Hospital rated as ‘requires improvement’

    News -

    The trust was rated ‘requires improvement’ for being safe, effective, responsive and well-led. It was rated ‘good’ for being caring, following the inspection in January and February 2019. Their previous overall rating was also ‘requires improvement'.

    Here you can find all past issues of the LLDA newsletter. The newsletter has useful information for Lambeth people with Learning disabilities. It also introduces new services and talks about issues that local people with learning disabilities share.

  23. Finding our way around King's College Hospital

    In February 2018, three teams visited Kings College Hospital to assess effectiveness and accessibility of signage for people with learning disabilities within the grounds and hospital.

  25. Help for people with health conditions to look for employment

    Advice and Information -

    Central London Works (CLW) is a voluntary employment support programme designed to help residents of London boroughs including Lambeth, with a health condition (or who are long-term unemployed) manage their health conditions and look for employment.

  26. New Sexual Health Partnership for people from BAME backgrounds

    Advice and Information -

    The new Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham Sexual Health Partnership aims to increase awareness of sexual health promotion services available to people from BAME backgrounds in the boroughs.

    The Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) is running a series of events aimed at achieving anti-racism and equity in South London and Maudsley mental health services.
