Work Well is a new South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation (SLaM) project that helps people with mental health problems find paid work. They provide one-to-one career coaching, which includes CV writing, interview skills, support with benefits, housing or debt problems, to help people find a job that is right for them.
The project is run by SLaM’s Career Management Service and is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund.

Graham says, “at 56, I was made redundant. Despite my experience, I found it extremely difficult to find another job, which led to depression. After I began working with my Career Coach, I gained a better perspective on myself, my career and future possibilities. I am now exploring a new career in the helping profession”.
