Two doses of the vaccine provide the best protection including against all variants of the virus. In Lambeth we have new walk-in vaccination clinics opening every day, and existing sites are opening for longer and on more days. The vaccination centres at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals are now open 8am to 7pm every day offering the Pfizer vaccine, and Montgomery Hall is now open seven days a week too. There are also more walk-in sessions in local pharmacies every day, with opening times ranging from 8am to midnight. You do not need proof of address, NHS number or immigration status to come to one of these clinics. Details of all walk-in vaccination clinics are below and on the South East London CCG website at www.selondonccg.nhs.uk/popupclinics

Get tested

If you’re meeting people outside of your household, please protect those around you and take a rapid test twice a week. 1 in 3 people with covid have no or very mild symptoms, regular testing is the best way to make sure you’re not accidentally infecting others. Order your free test kits online, visit a local pharmacy or mobile testing unit. For details, visit www.lambeth.gov.uk/covidcommunitytest

Self isolating if you have symptoms or test positive

If you have COVID-19 symptoms or have tested positive, Lambeth Council may be able to help you. They offer rapid financial, practical and emotional support to help you self-isolate for 10 days, and an option to stay in a hotel to protect the people you live with. Call 0800 054 1215 to get support and find out more.

Getting vaccinated

If you have questions about the vaccination, you can speak to one of our Covid wellbeing ambassadors. The NHS Vaccine Facts website answers common questions South East Londoners have had about the COVID vaccine, and what happened when local people had the jab.

Visit one of our walk-in clinics or our health and wellbeing bus

Walk-in clinics are at different sites around the borough, including community venues, mobile units and at some GPs or hospitals. The Lambeth Health and Wellbeing Bus will be stationed at different locations across the borough throughout the summer. Onboard is information about a range of health services and support in your neighbourhood. You can also speak to our COVID wellbeing ambassadors, pick up and drop off testing kits, get tested and receive a vaccination.

Book online or by phone

Book your appointment online or by calling 119 free of charge. New appointments are added regularly, and you will be able to choose from locations across London including hospitals, local pharmacies and GP surgeries.

Book through your GP

If you’re registered with a GP you will get a text message, email or letter when it is your turn to be vaccinated. You can then book an appointment at a clinic close to you. If you are eligible for a vaccination but haven’t heard from your GP get in touch with them.

When should you get your second dose?

Second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been brought forward for people over the age of 40 from 12 weeks to 8 weeks. This change has been made to ensure people have the strongest possible protection against the virus as early as possible. We are sending text messages to people who are already booked in for their second dose inviting them to rebook their appointment. You can also rearrange your appointment at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by calling 119 free of charge
