The NHS has launched its Long Term Workforce Plan, aimed at delivering a huge increase in staff within the National Health Service. The plan was developed in partnership with the government and NHS staff and experts.

It sets out the biggest increase in training numbers in the organisation's history and aims to address staffing shortages and meet the challenges of an ageing population.

In addition to training and staff increases, the plan also sets out plans to make better use of tech in order to free up staff to deliver care and places an emphasis on ongoing learning and staff retention.
