We held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2024 on Wednesday, 4 December. We introduced our new trustees, discussed our planned work for the current financial year, and reflected on our key achievements from the previous year. Highlights included discussing the impact of our maternity and hospital discharge projects and meeting the Mayor of Lambeth, Cllr John-Paul Ennis.

As part of our Enter and View programme, Healthwatch Lambeth visited the Luther King Ward, one of the wards in Lambeth Hospital where male service users living in the London Borough of Lambeth receive care for their acute mental illness.

To ensure children and young people with SEND in Lambeth receive the best support possible, Lambeth Council are conducting their second Annual SEND Family Survey to collect information and your views to improve support and services for children and young people with SEND. The council are interested in your views across education, health and social care for children and young people from birth up to 25 years.

Lambeth Council Adult Social Care is recommissioning its prevention contract. Preventative services are about supporting people to be proactive about their health and wellbeing. The aim of these services is to increase independence and reduce or delay the need for statutory care and support services. To shape the future contract, Lambeth Council would like to hear from you. After we shared people’s experiences of being discharged from hospital, NHS providers are now working alongside patients to develop accessible resources to help patients and carers better understand what to expect and to be able to navigate the process more easily.
