    The Right for Everyone project was a partnership initiative to investigate how well community health services work for people with learning disabilities. We looked at dental services, GP practices, pharmacy, foot clinics and opticians.

    In partnership with the Lambeth Council and Lambeth Made we evaluated the Early Help pilot in Streatham. Reframing Early Help Programme aims to improve the Early Help offer to enable families to receive high quality, whole-family support.

    Guy’s and St Thomas’s have launched a sunflower lanyard for their patients and staff. The sunflower lanyards are for people who have a disability that you might not be able to see, and for people who might need extra help.

    We did an Enter and view at Hillyard House, an extra care housing facility for 41 tenants providing care and support to a mixed clientele including older people, learning disabled adult and younger disabled people, and residents living with dementia.

    In February 2018, three teams visited Kings College Hospital to assess effectiveness and accessibility of signage for people with learning disabilities within the grounds and hospital.

    Local hospitals have joined together with care homes in Lambeth to introduce the ‘red bag’ scheme. The red bag helps to provide a prompt, safe and efficient transfer of clinical care, when a resident moves between a care home and clinical settings.
